About the Role:
In this position, you’ll play a vital role in supporting Loss Prevention initiatives and managing the Condition Survey Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow in the maritime insurance sector while using their expertise to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Condition Survey Programme, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Identify and address quality issues, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in developing and executing the Loss Prevention programme.
- Manage projects related to loss prevention, including training and presentations.
- Analyze claims causation and implement effective loss prevention initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with members and industry partners.
- Produce reports that meet the needs of internal teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Seagoing experience as a Chief Mate or First Engineer, or a dual license (or lower qualification with relevant maritime education or shore-based experience).
- Experience in maritime operations or related roles is preferred, with experience on tankers, inland vessels, or tugs being desirable.
- Strong presentation skills for engaging stakeholders and leading seminars.
- Previous training experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in data analysis using Microsoft Office.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
