Faststream Recruitment is partnering with a global shipping organisation, known for excellence in ship-owning and technical ship management. Due to strategic growth and an increased focus on 3rd party ship management, our client is actively looking for an ambitious and experienced Head of Business Development to join their executive leadership team based in Mumbai, India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic development and expansion of the 3rd party technical ship management business.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities globally, with a strong emphasis on leveraging India's maritime market growth.
  • Build, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with shipowners, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies aimed at specific ship management market segments.
  • Provide insights on maritime regulations, operational challenges, and industry trends to influence strategic decisions.
  • Act as a trusted partner to clients, understanding ship-owner expectations, technical management operations, and delivering tailor-made solutions.
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven track record in commercial business development within 3rd party ship management.
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations and the operational needs of shipowners.
  • Existing global network of contacts with small to medium-sized shipowners and financial institutions.
  • Commercially astute, proactive, and driven to succeed.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with frequent global travel.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Shipping, Maritime, or Business Studies.
  • Extensive experience in 3rd party ship management and business development.
