Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the ship agency, including vessel handling, port operations, and logistics coordination.
- Develop and implement business strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, port authorities, and other stakeholders in the maritime industry.
- Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations and standards.
- Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and cost controls.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team, ensuring high performance and development of staff.
- Identify new business opportunities and areas for service improvement.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Represent the company in industry events and forums.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance and business development efforts.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in a ship agency or maritime services company.
- Strong understanding of the maritime industry, including port operations, shipping regulations, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Availability to travel as required.
