Job Description

This role involves actively contributing to the strategic objectives of the Shipping Management Company (SMC), particularly in ensuring compliance with industry goals. The position requires overseeing crewing-related contractual agreements, identifying manning needs, and developing annual plans for efficient vessel operation. You will be responsible for recruitment processes, compliance with employment legislation, and facilitating crew training to align with company policies, ethics, and global shipping standards.

Additionally, the role involves managing seafarer rotations, addressing personnel issues, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating with external service centers. 

Requirements:
  • Education and Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Maritime or relevant field.
  • Work Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience as Master, Chief Engineer, or Chief Officer, and/or 6 years in a marine-related office environment in a crew personnel supervising role.
  • Job Specific Skills: Good knowledge of vessels' crew requirements, familiarity with local market dynamics, exposure to collective agreements and employment contracts development, extensive experience in recruitment, training, and development methodologies, strong knowledge of seafarers' rights, maritime labor law, and the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). Excellent people management skills are essential for this role.
