Are you an experienced maritime professional looking for your next leadership role? Our client, a respected shipowner based in South London, is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the technical management of their fleet of large bulk carriers (180K–210K DWT). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team and play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of their vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the technical team (Port Captain, Port Engineer, Superintendents, Purchasing Manager)
Oversee daily technical operations, maintenance, and compliance
Ensure adherence to ISM, ISPS, MLC, and international regulations (preferably Marshall Islands flag)
Manage vetting processes (RightShip, MER, FMG, BHP, etc.)
Conduct incident investigations and drive safety & environmental improvements

Requirements:

Background in classification societies or relevant maritime experience
Strong knowledge of ISM/ISPS/MLC auditing and compliance
Experience in vetting, safety management, and root cause analysis
Proven leadership in shore-based technical management
Right to live and work in the UK
