Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and automation systems across the fleet.
- Provide technical expertise for newbuilding and retrofit projects, ensuring equipment and systems are thoroughly reviewed for optimal functionality.
- Conduct regular vessel inspections and audits to maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
- Offer technical support and guidance to shipboard teams on electrical and automation systems.
- Plan and oversee dry-docking, repairs, and scheduled maintenance for electrical equipment.
- Collaborate with technical and marine teams to enhance vessel performance and efficiency.
- Manage and monitor spare parts inventory, working closely with shipboard and shore-based teams to ensure timely availability of essential electrical components.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices to improve operational effectiveness.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and instrumentation, ideally within tanker vessel operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, capable of collaborating with both ship and shore-based teams.
- Commitment to travel for vessel visits and shipyard projects as needed.
- Experience managing vessel retrofit and upgrade projects.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability practices in maritime electrical systems.
