We are committed to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet, and we are seeking a dedicated professional to join the team as an Electrical Superintendent.
Job Description:
As a Rotational Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems and equipment on the vessels are operating at peak performance. This position is essential for maintaining the safety and productivity of operations. You will also serve as the principal electrical expert within the business, passing on knowledge and training to other members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all electrical systems and equipment comply with industry safety standards and regulations.
Implement safety protocols and procedures to protect personnel and assets.
Supervision & Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians and personnel.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a high level of technical expertise within the team.
Project Management:
Oversee electrical projects, including installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and inspections.
Generate reports on equipment status and maintenance findings.
Knowledge Transfer:
Serve as the principal electrical expert within the business.
Train and mentor team members to enhance their electrical knowledge and skills.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, operations, and safety, to ensure seamless vessel operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Sailing experience as an ETO
Extensive Shorebased Experience as an Electrical Superintendent
Proven experience in electrical maintenance in the maritime / offshore industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
Leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Rotation and Benefits:
This position will be rotational in nature.
