Key Responsibilities:
- Build Business Relationships: Establish and maintain positive, long-term relationships with third-party Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and other partners to create luxury shoreside Destination Experiences that meet high standards and exceed guest expectations.
- Product Development: Select the best tour programs and overland experiences (if applicable) in every in-transit port/expedition landing through research, networking in each country, and collaborating with onboard and shoreside colleagues, mainly in marketing and expedition operations.
- Pricing: Determine product pricing in agreement with the Destination Management Director.
- System Set-Up: Set up Destination Experiences tour descriptions, pricing, and general conditions on the company website and reservation system.
- Contract and Insurance Supervision: Work with the Legal department to ensure contracts are in place with all providers and that their insurance coverage meets requirements.
- Operation: Monitor operations and assist in resolving any issues highlighted by onboard staff, local DMCs, or the Reservations Department, ensuring support for the onboard team.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest satisfaction levels related to all services through constant analysis of scores, questionnaires, and ship reports.
- Site Inspection: Ensure proper guest experiences by inspecting destinations and services, especially if they are new or challenging. This may involve extensive travel.
- Cooperation with Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the accuracy of company collateral, brochures, and website content, and prepare product presentations for the sales teams.
- At least 3 years of experience in the destination department of other cruise lines shore side or 6 years on board.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including grammar, composition, and descriptive writing in English.
- Knowledge and interest in world geography, general world history, and cultures.
- Understanding of budget planning and revenue analysis.
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other online and social media formats.
- Positive attitude and enthusiastic team player who works well with others.
- Service-minded with an outgoing personality and the ability to interact and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and of all nationalities.
