Key Responsibilities:
- Scouting and Selection: Identify and evaluate tour operators (TOs) and destination management companies (DMCs) to meet high standards, including managing the bidding and selection process.
- Innovation and Management: Develop new ideas and experiences in destinations, manage the full product creation process, and ensure timely delivery.
- Negotiation: Secure the best possible pricing to maximize return on investment.
- Collaboration: Work with various departments (digital, marketing, business integration, IT) to publish experiences across all systems (Seaware, Otalio, PIM, Crunchtime).
- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team on copywriting, imagery, and brief descriptions.
- Contracting and Training: Manage contracts, create manuals, and train TOs and DMCs.
- Team Training: Train onboard teams, travel advisors, and sales staff on product offerings.
- HR Support: Assist with hiring interviews and the rotation of shipboard teams.
- Support: Provide support for destination experience inquiries and onboard teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or extensive industry experience (tourism, cruise).
- Experience: 7-10 years of shore excursion or destination development experience, either onboard or onshore for a cruise company.
- Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent negotiation and financial skills, and the ability to motivate and manage staff.
- Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Seaware/Versonix, Otalio, and Crunchtime is preferred.
