Do you have a profound grasp of maritime regulations and standout leadership skills from a chemical tanker background? Our client, a leading ship management company is looking for a Deputy GM to join their dedicated and empowered team, where your expertise will drive technical and operational excellence.

In this pivotal role, the DPA/CSO/EMR will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of our fleet operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main contact for all fleet safety and security matters.
  • Ensure adherence to international maritime regulations and company policies.
  • Perform regular safety audits and vessel inspections.
  • Create and implement safety and security protocols.
  • Investigate incidents, report accidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Train and support ship personnel on safety and security practices.
  • Communicate with regulatory bodies and industry organizations.
  • Update and monitor the Safety Management System (SMS) and Ship Security Plans (SSP)

Requirements:
  • Minimally 2 years leadership experience as DPA or in a similar role within the maritime industry.
  • Extensive background in Chemical Tankers operations.
  • Knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS Code, and other maritime regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication abilities.
  • Relevant maritime certifications (e.g. DPA certification, CSO certification).
