Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the group crew training program, aligning it with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.
- Design and oversee the creation of engaging, effective, and relevant training modules.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and HR, to identify crew training needs and develop customised programs.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor crew performance and competency levels.
- Continuously improve the group crew training program by incorporating feedback, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
- Manage the cadetship program, including recruitment, selection, and development of cadets.
- Build and maintain relationships with maritime training institutions and industry partners to enhance the cadetship program and access a diverse talent pool.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in crew training and maritime regulations to ensure compliance and innovation.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to a team of training professionals.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in crew training and development within the maritime industry, preferably in a leadership or managerial capacity working within a large team overseeing a large fleet.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, industry standards, and crew certification requirements.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing effective crew training programs.
- Familiarity with cadetship programs and the ability to attract and nurture young talent.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised with exceptional project management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and digital training tools is advantageous.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
