The role involves establishing, developing, and leading the office in India, focusing on building a strong ships agency presence across Indian ports. The position requires comprehensive oversight of sales, operations, and financial management, while ensuring top-tier service delivery to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Development:
    • Establish and develop the office in India, positioning it as a key player in the market.
    • Build and lead a competent team to drive growth and operational excellence.
  2. Ships Agency Management:
    • Develop and expand ships agency services across Indian ports, offering both full and protective agency services for cargo operations.
    • Ensure the efficient and effective handling of vessels under the company’s responsibility, providing high-quality service, quick turnaround, and minimizing expenses for vessel owners and operators.
  3. Strategic Implementation and Financial Oversight:
    • Implement the company's strategy in India, aligning it with global objectives.
    • Manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Oversee all aspects of P&L, operational assets, and liabilities, taking full responsibility for the financial performance of the India office.
  4. Sales and Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as the Sales Commercial Manager for India, responsible for driving sales growth and client acquisition.
    • Regularly visit prospective clients to promote global services, fostering strong relationships and expanding the client base.
  5. Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure that all agency services provided meet high standards of quality.
    • Continuously monitor and improve service delivery processes to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a regional office, with a strong focus on ships agency services.
  • Solid understanding of the maritime industry, particularly in cargo operations and agency services.
  • Strong leadership, financial management, and strategic planning skills.
