Faststream is working with a global supplier of logistic and shipping services who are a trusted partner to owners, managers, operators, and traders. We are working together in search of a Business Development Manager based in Greece to cover the vast Greek Shipowner market.
Role Overview: The ideal candidate will have a robust network of shipowners and managers and will be enthusiastic about generating new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with Greek shipowners for their port calls around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand our client base within the Greek maritime industry
- Leverage your existing network of shipowners and managers to generate leads and secure new business
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold calling and attending industry events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime industry
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the maritime industry
- Established network of contacts within the Greek shipping community, particularly shipowners and managers
- Strong understanding of port agency services and global port operations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to generating new business
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
- Fluency in Greek and English is essential
