Duties:
- Post yacht expenses accurately and on time: Ensure all expenses related to the yacht are recorded correctly and promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers: Make sure that all payments to suppliers are processed and completed on schedule to maintain good relationships and avoid any service disruptions.
- Reconcile bank statements daily: Check and match the bank statements every day to keep track of the exact amount of client funds available at any given time.
- Provide cover for Yacht Accountant & Payment team members: Step in to handle the responsibilities of the Yacht Accountant and other team members when they are unavailable, ensuring continuity in financial operations.
- Act as the point of contact for Owner’s Reps, Captain, and other related parties: Serve as a communication link for Owner’s Representatives, the Captain, and anyone else involved with the clients or yachts, addressing their queries and concerns as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Skilled in using SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong communication skills: Effective in both written and face-to-face interactions, especially preferring phone calls over emails when dealing with Captains and clients.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a variety of tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy: Meticulous and precise in all tasks.
- Commitment to excellence: Dedicated to maintaining the high service standards of the Praxis Yachts Group.
- Solutions-oriented: Always acting in the best interest of the client with integrity and discretion.
- Yacht experience: On-board or shore-based yacht experience and familiarity with expense management
- Flexibility to travel
- Book keeping experience
- AAT qualifications desirable
