Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans for assigned vessels.
- Monitor and evaluate maintenance standards, including defect rectification and breakdown repairs.
- Ensure compliance with survey and certification requirements.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
- Prepare vessels for inspections, dry dockings, and deliver timely written reports.
- Manage and update vessel plans, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Oversee procurement and arrangement of spares, stores, lubricants, and paints.
- Prepare and monitor vessel budgets, ensuring effective cost control.
- Promote high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and maintenance practices.
- Conduct vessel visits, prepare detailed visit reports, and coordinate office-to-vessel activities.
- Monitor daily performance metrics and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Provide technical advice and evaluate crew performance on assigned vessels.
- Holds at least a Class 2 Certificate of Competency; a Chief Engineer Certificate is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of shore experience in technical operations for vessel management
- Must be able to converse in the local Cantonese language
