Role Overview:
- Location: Dubai, UAE
- Focus: Full P&L Responsibility for managed services for Container Vessels
- Cost Optimisation:
- Select ships with optimal intake and speed, ensuring efficiency in bunker consumption.
- Monitor daily vessel speed and bunker consumption.
- Negotiate terminal contracts, securing berth windows, discounts, and volume incentives.
- Manage and resolve claims in consultation with the legal team.
- Trade Route Strategy:
- Develop and refine trade routes based on market demand and supply conditions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to anticipate customer demand and analyse trade statistics.
- Maintain high schedule integrity, ensuring seamless customer connections and timely updates.
- Revenue Enhancement:
- Manage cargo space to maximise Net To Vessel returns.
- Collaborate with marketing on customer selection and tender processes.
- Implement rate adjustments in line with cost increases and market conditions.
- Engage actively with key clients, especially during operational crises, ensuring strong relationships.
- Business Development:
- Continuously assess trade route viability and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new services, exploring solo ventures or consortium opportunities.
