With Diwali just around the corner, we are excited to be joining WISTA Singapore (Women's International Shipping & Trading Association) and its members in celebrating the dazzling Festival of Lights.
Diwali takes place each year on the 15th day of the month of Kartika in the Hindu calendar, celebrating the festival of lights.
Diwali is marked by a four-day celebration, which illuminates houses, public places, and shops with lights and magnificent lights.
Marking this incredible celebration, WISTA Singapore have organised their event to be held in the Bombay Garden at Dempsey. A truly eye-catching surrounding for such an occasion. Set amongst beautiful greenery and flowers, you will be wowed by this incredible location.
What can you expect?
To commemorate Diwali, you can expect to be welcomed in style with great wine, live music, and an array of delicious Northern Indian delicacies.
There will also be several creative workshops on offer to rejoice and honour the Hindu culture. WISTA Singapore have invited their renowned friend Shweta to hold a workshop for attendees. Which will introduce you to the calming craft of decoupage.
This is a unique opportunity for the Singapore maritime community to come together for what is set to be a tremendous Diwali celebration.
