Europe Commercial Marine Awards
The European Commercial Marine Awards (ECMAs) honour the commercial marine industry’s excellence and innovation, with the ceremony taking place at Seawork’s Waterfront restaurant on Tuesday the 11th of June 2024, featuring an expert panel and sponsored by Siemens Financial Services.
Innovation Showcase
The Seawork Innovations Showcase is a platform for the latest marine industry advancements, displayed at Seawork and judged at the ECMAs on Tuesday the 11th of June 2024. Winners receive awards and the top innovation earns the “Spirit of Innovation” trophy. It’s a chance for exhibitors to highlight their unique solutions and gain industry recognition. Entries must be market-released after June 15th, 2023. Seawork exhibitors enter for free, while others pay £520. The entry deadline is Friday the 4th of May 2024.
Conference Programme
Seawork’s conference sessions and business briefings, which are free to attend, span the event’s three-day duration. These conferences encompass a diverse range of topics within the Commercial Marine and Marine Civils sectors, including contributions from their Supporting Associations. Participants can look forward to listening to engaging talks on decarbonisation, the future of the marine industry, the expansion of offshore wind farm capabilities, WISTA & Seawork women in marine sectors, the Zero Emission Network of Workboats, advancements in green technology, and much more.
Training & Careers Day
Seawork 2024 will host a dynamic Training & Careers Day on Thursday the 13th of June, in collaboration with Maritime UK Solent. The event will highlight the commercial marine industry’s varied career options and the importance of skill development. Attendees can explore opportunities, receive expert advice, and learn about apprenticeships at the Training & Careers Pavilion. Reflecting on the previous year’s fair, it successfully connected students to the marine sector, offering them a glimpse into potential careers.
Speed@Seawork
Speed@Seawork is set to celebrate its 5th edition in Cowes, Isle of Wight, on Monday the 10th of June, 2024. This prestigious event, hosted by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, showcases an international array of high-speed vessels dedicated to security, intervention, and search and rescue operations. In collaboration with the Society of Marine Industries, it provides a platform for defence and specialist sector delegates to engage in sea trials, witness dynamic equipment demonstrations, and attend presentations by procurement and MOD experts. Last year’s event featured delegates from over ten nations, including Bahrain and the United States. Opportunities to participate are available for exhibitors, sponsors, and delegates seeking a cost-effective entry into this sector-specific feature of Seawork, Europe’s premier commercial marine exhibition by Mercator Media.
Seawork Cardboard Boat Regatta - sponsored by Knighthood Marine
Curious about a unique and creative challenge? Why not participate in the Seawork Cardboard Boat Regatta, sponsored by Knighthood Marine? The event features live music, a bar, and food on the quayside, taking place on Wednesday, June 12th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Participants are encouraged to get creative with cardboard boat designs, channelling Long John Silver or other metallic inspirations. Prizes will be awarded for the Fastest Boat, Best Bedecked Boat, and the Spectacular Sinking Award. It’s a relaxed and entertaining networking opportunity for clients and staff, with no ticket required. Food and drink will be available for purchase onsite. Seawork exhibitors can enter the regatta via the online Exhibitor Manual.
