Job Description

Faststream is seeking an experienced Tug Mate to work in port of Dover. Candidate will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of the vessels in the port.

6 Months fixed term contract, week on/off rotation with 40 working hours per week.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of STCW II/3 OOW unlimited
  • Previous experience as a Tug Mate or similar position in the maritime industry
  • Valid ENG 1 certificate
  • Proficient understanding of navigation, vessel handling, and towing operations
  • Good Knowledge of the ISM code
  • Understanding of Health and Safety as applicable to Merchant Shipping
  • General sea going experience as a watch keeping officer
  • Experience operating Azimuthing Stern Drive tugs (desirable)
Due to the nature of this role, you must either live within 3 hours travelling distance from the Port of Dover or be willing to stay locally in the company provided accommodation
