A globally renowned shipping company is seeking a Ship Agent to join its expanding operations in Mukran. This is an exciting opportunity for both entry-level candidates and those with experience in shipping or logistics. Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensuring smooth communication and coordination between all stakeholders, particularly in managing shipping operations.
  • Handling operational tasks effectively, including coordinating vessel schedules, managing port logistics, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Working shifts, including one night per week and one weekend per month (which can be done from home, with the option to come in). Weekend shifts are compensated with time off.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, port authorities, and crew members to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Managing the administrative side of shipping operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and billing.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the course of shipping operations.
  • Monitoring and reporting on port activities and operational performance.
What We’re Looking For:  
  • Proficiency in German and English (essential for conducting interviews, liaising with clients, and managing documentation).
  • A background in shipping or logistics (preferred but not essential; the company is willing to train the right person).
  • A proactive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Willingness to work in a shift-based system, including 1 evening a week and 1 weekend a month duties (can be from the comfort of your own home). 
  • Ability to handle pressure, resolve conflicts, and maintain professionalism in fast-paced environments.
