About the client 

Faststream Recruitment has partnered with a leading multinational company in the Navigation System space to identify a Service Technician for their Singapore operations. 

About the Job
  • Maintenance, and repair/overhaul of products and equipment, following specific instructions and manuals.
  • Manage repair, overhaul, and maintenance of various machinery, including Gear Boxes, Shafting, Propellers, Thrusters, Steering Gears, and Deck Machinery.
  • Effectively resolve technical issues to meet customer order requirements. Provide service and investigation reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and in-house technical specialists when additional technical assistance is required.
  • Observe safety regulations from WSHA and follow guidelines/risk assessments provided by the company's WHS Committee when working on-site or at customer premises.
  • Enhance skills and knowledge through training and self-learning to meet job requirements.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks or assignments as assigned by supervisors or team leads to support project goals and team objectives, ensuring continuous improvement
Skills and experience required
  • Minimum Bachelor's/Diploma in electrical/electronic or Mechatronics.
  • At least 1 year of relevant customer service experience.
  • Direct technical experience with deck machinery and propulsion system.
  • Proficient in MS Office, marine survey software, data formats, and computer network systems.
