The Senior Trading Manager oversees strategic relationships, negotiates sales contracts, manages trading risks, and drives business growth for dry bulk commodities such as cement and clinker.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Build relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry leaders to enhance market intelligence and business opportunities.
- Trade Management: Negotiate and execute high-value contracts, ensuring profitability and minimal risk.
- Market Insight: Monitor market trends and geopolitical factors to mitigate risks and optimize strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a liaison between trading, operations, chartering, legal, finance, and strategy teams.
- Coaching & Development: Mentor team members and manage performance.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and safeguard brand reputation in trading activities.
- Education: Degree in technical, commercial, or management fields.
- Experience: 5-7 years in trading, cement/building materials, and maritime logistics.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking. Proficient in seaborne trading and logistics.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish required; other languages are a plus.
- Work Authorization: Active U.S. work permit required.
