Are you a seasoned Naval Architect with a passion for offshore energy solutions? Do you possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in naval architecture, with a strong background in hydrodynamics? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team as a Senior Naval Architect in Southampton. This is a hybrid agreement, attendance to the office is expected 3 days per week.

A leading offshore energy consultancy committed to driving innovation and excellence in the field of maritime engineering. Looking for a Senior Naval Architect who will play a key role in the design, analysis, and optimization of offshore structures. 

The Role:
  • Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of offshore structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of hydrodynamics to optimize the performance of marine systems.
  • Conduct structural and hydrodynamic simulations using industry-standard software, with a focus on OrcaFlex and BV Hydrostar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for offshore energy projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in client meetings, presenting technical insights and project updates.
The Person: 
  • Degree qualified in Naval Architecture or a related field.
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience in naval architecture for offshore energy projects.
  • Strong background in hydrodynamics, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficient in using OrcaFlex and BV Hydrostar for structural and hydrodynamic simulations.
