Job Title: Senior Marine Systems Engineer – FPSO Upgrades

Department: Marine Technical Team

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marine Systems Engineer to lead and manage marine construction and upgrade projects for offshore assets such as FPSOs and FSOs, focusing on life extension initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical knowledge in marine and hull engineering services for various project phases, from early concept development to design and construction, with a focus on marine engineering aspects of project upgrades.
  • Regulatory Support: Ensure compliance with marine standards and regulations for FPSOs, FSOs, and other upstream projects.
  • Classification Review: Oversee the review of marine classification and proposed rule changes for floating assets, delivering marine technical and project execution support.
  • Project Management: Lead the management of necessary upgrades, often completed in-situ offshore, and direct hull and marine engineers on offshore asset projects.
  • Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with contractors and EPCs to develop world-class solutions.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, scopes of work, specification reviews, and drawing evaluations while implementing the company's standards on projects.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel for condition surveys and inspections as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marine systems engineering.
  • Extensive experience in offshore project development and engineering.
  • Strong expertise in marine systems specification, design, and engineering analysis in tankers and offshore storage/production assets.
  • Background in major offshore projects, covering concept development, FEED engineering, detailed engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine standards and regulations.
