Faststream is working with a pioneering maritime tech company dedicated to enhancing safety at sea through their unique blend of hardware, software, and AI solutions. Their innovative safety solution ensures the protection of crew and passengers across various vessel types, including commercial, passenger, and offshore vessels.

We are seeking an experienced and well-networked Regional Sales Director based remotely in Europe to spearhead business growth in the Nordics region.

Role Overview:

As the Regional Sales Director for the Nordics, you will play a key role in driving the business expansion in this dynamic region. Your primary focus will be on targeting ship owners and managers, presenting them with the unparalleled safety solution that our client provides. This role requires a proactive and autonomous professional with a robust network in the maritime industry. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you will travel extensively across the Nordics to engage potential clients and secure new business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive business development activities across the Nordics, targeting ship owners and managers
  • Utilize your extensive network to identify and engage potential clients
  • Present our client's unique safety solution, emphasizing its combination of hardware, software, and AI to ensure crew and passenger safety
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new business opportunities and understand client needs
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime industry
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and seamless solution implementation
  • Travel frequently across the Nordics to meet clients and attend industry events
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in sales within the maritime industry
  • An extensive network of contacts among ship owners and managers in the Nordics
  • Strong understanding of safety solutions, hardware, software, and AI technologies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Nordics
  • Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to the region are a plus
  • Comfortable working in a start-up environment, with the flexibility and drive to navigate its challenges and opportunities
