Position Overview:
The Shipping Pool Manager will be responsible for overseeing a group of vessels within their managed pool. This role requires a strong background in market analysis and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions that enhance the profitability and efficiency of the pool.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Evaluation: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Utilize data insights to guide vessel deployment and pool management strategies.
Pool Coordination: Manage the daily operations of the vessel pool, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization. Monitor vessel performance and implement strategies to improve overall efficiency.
Contract Negotiation: Handle negotiations for charter agreements, freight contracts, and other relevant deals, ensuring advantageous terms for all stakeholders.
Performance Analytics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for vessels in the pool. Prepare regular performance reports and present findings to senior management.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with vessel owners, charterers, and brokers to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to international maritime regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: Experience in shipbroking, shipping, or logistics is essential, with a focus on market analysis and vessel management would be a plus.
