Position Overview: Join a prominent maritime organization managing government and commercial ocean-going vessels. We're searching for a skilled Port Operations Manager, offering a remote work opportunity (US-based).
In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the daily operational aspects of a Military Sealift Command vessel, including managing shipyard projects and dry dockings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead and negotiate shipyard dry-docking projects exceeding three million dollars.
  • Ensure safe, efficient project execution and technical compliance.
  • Provide remote support from your home office and on-site assistance as required.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Uphold compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare and manage project records, reports, and budgets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Port Engineer with a track record in shipyard project management.
  • Four years' experience aboard ocean-going ships as Chief Engineer or First Assistant Engineer.
  • Seven years' overall experience, inclusive of relevant education or shipyard/military background.
  • Strong project management skills and technical expertise.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Dedication to safety and environmental standards.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
