Reporting to: Associate Head of Maritime Simulation
Location: UAE

As a Marine Engineering Lecturer within the Simulator team, you will support the Academy’s strategic goals, teaching engineering courses within a marine simulations environment and employing innovative teaching methods. You will stay updated with industry changed to continually develop new and relevant courses. 

Qualification, Skills and Experience

Essential:
  • STCW Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Engineer) Unlimited.
  • MSc or equivalent Master level qualification in relevant subject.
  • Dual Fuel engine knowledge. 
  • Business level written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work within a team, across different cultures.
  • Ability to work under pressure with the intent to complete tasks promptly and efficiently. 
Desirable:
  • Experience of maritime education and/or training.
  • Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on merchant ships.
  • Educational experience with leading courses/ programs, revising course content, developing new programs and courses.
  • Knowledge of student-centred teaching and learning methodologies.
