Are you a seafarer from a Deck background looking to inspire the next generation of maritime professionals? A leading maritime training school in South Shields is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in
Nautical Studies to join the growing team.

The Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures and training sessions across a range of maritime programmes
  • Provide tutorial support and guidance to students
  • Assist with course development, curriculum planning, and assessment
  • Engage with industry professionals, schools, and employers to enhance training provision
  • Participate in examinations, assessments, and quality assurance processes
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and contribute to research and consultancy projects
Desirable Criteria:
  • A minimum Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate of Competency but a Chief Mate or Master’s Unlimited CoC would be highly considered
  • Safety training, teaching or lecturing experience
  • Recent sea-going experience and experience training crew onboard
  • LNG operations experience

This role requires the candidate to have full Rights to Work in the UK. We will only consider people on limited time visa's that are PSW's or Dependent. You will require a minimum of 2 years before they expire. (Sponsorship cannot be offered for this position)
