Job Description

As a Junior Marine Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Marine Superintendent in safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the company’s fleet of tankers. Working closely with experienced Marine Superintendents, you will be involved in various operational and compliance aspects of tanker management.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and support vessel operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct or assist in vessel inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • Liaise with shipmasters, crews, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Support the implementation of safety and environmental protection measures.
  • Assist in managing incidents and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  
Requirements
  • Maritime Background: Experience as a deck officer, ideally holding a Class 2/1 Certificate of Competency.
  • Tanker Expertise: Exposure to tanker operations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with IMO, ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL requirements.
  • Location Flexibility: Reside in or be willing to relocate to Hamburg.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
