Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and support vessel operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct or assist in vessel inspections, audits, and investigations.
- Liaise with shipmasters, crews, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Support the implementation of safety and environmental protection measures.
- Assist in managing incidents and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Requirements
- Maritime Background: Experience as a deck officer, ideally holding a Class 2/1 Certificate of Competency.
- Tanker Expertise: Exposure to tanker operations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with IMO, ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL requirements.
- Location Flexibility: Reside in or be willing to relocate to Hamburg.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
- The existing right to work in Europe is a MUST to be considered.
