Job Title: Junior Operator 

Location, Paris, France 

Faststream are proud to be partnering with Orion Global Transport France (OGTF) in the search for a Junior Operator. The Junior Operator shall assist the Global Operations Manager in overseeing the successful commercial operations for the company’s fleet of LNG carriers. 
  
  
Responsibilities: 
  
  • Promoting HSSQEE excellence according to Company Policy.   
  • Communicating voyage instructions, vessel movements, bunkering, and voyage completion to the Master, charterers, brokers, and other concerned parties. 
  • Gathering all necessary information for load port and disport. 
  • Studying charter party clauses to protect principal's interests. 
  • Planning vessel refueling based on movements and competitive pricing. 
  • Monitoring cargo and ballast plans, ensuring Masters follow proper instructions. 
  • Coordinating vessel-related activities, including port requirements and position updates. 
  • Communicating with and supporting all other internal teams where required. 

Qualifications: 
  
You are a recently graduated student from a Maritime Academy or a junior officer on board LNG carriers preferably with a class 2 COC Deck or Engineering. 
  
  • French-speaking skills would be advantageous
  • ICS certification- Chemical tanker experience-coding skills would also be preferable. 
  
Personal Qualities: 
   
  • You are able to communicate advise in a clear/unambiguous way, orally and written. 
  • You are able to analyse details and draw conclusions that help to improve processes. 
  • You are able to anticipate problems arising from work processes. 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. 
  • The ability to work as part of a close team and contribute in various areas of the business. 
  • Adaptable mindset. 
  • LNG sailing experience (preferred).
  • Chemical tanker experience (desirable).
  • ICS certification (desirable).
  • Coding skills (desirable).
  • Adaptable mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an understanding of cultural differences.
  • Good command of English and French speaking skills.
  • You must have the right to work in the EU.
