Faststream are working with a Natural Gas storage business based in Hampshire who are looking for an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join their business on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the EC&I Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs to Instrumentation equipment around this COMAH site including controllers, transmitters and Analysers. You will also assist in the installation and commissioning of new plant equipment as required as well as liaise and supervise external contractors to ensure that they are work to the requirements of the permits and maintain site safety standards.
Successful candidates will likely have previous I&E experience within an Industrial or O&G setting. It is important that you have a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Instrumentation and be able to show a good working knowledge of Electrical Engineering issues.
The role is based on a 37.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday but will also include extra hours as required including weekends with an additional overtime rate. A generous holiday and pension scheme is available as well as a bonus scheme and other benefits. Candidates must live within an hour of the clients site and should have a full UK driving license. Our client is only able to accept candidates with the right to work in the UK.
