Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve issues affecting vessel performance.
  • Target ships for special bunker surveys to optimize fuel efficiency.
  • Monitor and support Operations on bunker ROB (Remaining On Board) quantity disputes following 221B surveys.
  • Evaluate and review performance of BQS (Bunker Quantity Surveyor) surveyors.
  • Conduct research and trials on energy-saving devices, performance monitoring tools, and advanced technologies suitable for installation on both owned and chartered vessels.
  • Provide evidence-based and cost-effective recommendations for technical initiatives to improve fleet performance, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
  • Utilize Fleet Performance data to analyze and investigate deficiencies within the fleet, presenting findings and proposing solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of technical modifications on owned or long-term chartered vessels.
  • Ensure compliance of owned and long-term chartered vessels with emissions regulations.
  • Advise Bunkers on disputes related to shortages with barges and suppliers.
  • Provide Operations with guidance on matters concerning bunkering and de-bunkering processes.
  • Support the Fleet Performance Manager as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • at least 3 years of experience in fleet performance management or technical operations within the maritime industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of vessel operations, fuel efficiency, and emissions regulations.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and implement technical solutions to enhance fleet performance and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with energy-saving technologies and environmental sustainability initiatives is preferred.
