Responsibilities:
- Champion the company's mission of safe, sustainable, and innovative shipping.
- Oversee the technical operation and performance of assigned dry bulk vessels through external partners, ensuring alignment with company safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental standards.
- Develop, monitor, and control running cost budgets to meet goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory, class, and other third-party requirements.
- Supervise and support the management of the dry-docking process from initial planning through to completion.
- Ensure all activities, including third-parties, comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
- Regularly visit assigned vessels and managers to oversee operations.
- Conduct appraisals for onboard ship management teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar role.
- BSc/MSc in Marine Engineering or Chief/2Eng Engineer.
- Relevant experience in the dry bulk shipping industry, with operational expertise.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong technical skills in ship operation and repairs with a high level of data analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills would be advantageous.
- The existing right to work in the UK is a MUST to be considered.
