Faststream is excited to be partnering with a dynamic global maritime company based in London looking for a Fleet Manager, specialising in dry bulk shipping solutions. Responsibilities:
  • Champion the company's mission of safe, sustainable, and innovative shipping.
  • Oversee the technical operation and performance of assigned dry bulk vessels through external partners, ensuring alignment with company safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental standards.
  • Develop, monitor, and control running cost budgets to meet goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory, class, and other third-party requirements.
  • Supervise and support the management of the dry-docking process from initial planning through to completion.
  • Ensure all activities, including third-parties, comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
  • Regularly visit assigned vessels and managers to oversee operations.
  • Conduct appraisals for onboard ship management teams and external partners.
  
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar role.
  • BSc/MSc in Marine Engineering or Chief/2Eng Engineer.
  • Relevant experience in the dry bulk shipping industry, with operational expertise.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong technical skills in ship operation and repairs with a high level of data analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills would be advantageous.
  • The existing right to work in the UK is a MUST to be considered.
