Faststream is recruiting for a Fleet Marine Engineer/ travelling engineer. this is an exiting opportunity for someone looking to make the steps into shore work whilst utilizing all your skills and experience from working at sea.


Position: Fleet Marine Engineer
Rotation/Trip Length: 2-4 weeks on/off
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: European Fleet, predominantly North Germany
Salary: €50,000 per year, pro rata

Must Haves:
  • Engineer OOW certification
  • Proven experience or knowledge in managing small teams
  • Good mechanical knowledge and experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Good record keeping and computer literacy
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a sole Engineer
  • All STCWs to be in date for the next 6 months, including Seafarer’s Medical
Advantages:
  • Sole engineering experience
  • Electrical experience
  • Experience working on CTVs or relevant agricultural experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Residing in Germany
Contract Information:
  • Travel to vessels within the fleet as required
  • Vessels operating in Europe, predominantly North Germany
  • Company van while on duty
  • Mobile phone and laptop provided while on duty
  • Rotations: 2-4 weeks on/off
  • Accommodation onboard vessel or ashore in a shared company apartment
  • All training for additional courses and refreshers paid for by the company
