My client is looking to bring on a Deputy Vessel Superintendent into their Offshore Resources department in Aberdeen. In this role you will provide technical support to a fleet of Offshore Support Vessels.

This is a great opportunity for someone looing to transition ashore for the first time.

The successful candidate will act as a technical specialist for the Vessels, focused on marine engineering, planned maintenance and equipment upgrades. You will assist with reviewing and creating technical specifications and support the Superintendents with any issues that arise. You will be involved in analysis of ship performance and implement technical improvements in the ship maintenance systems, as well as contribute to the PMS development, amongst various other duties.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer or 3rd Engineer Unlimited backgrounds
  • Sailing experience on offshore vessels
  • An interest in pursuing a shore based career in technical ship management
  • Ability to be based permanently in Aberdeen
  • The existing right to live and work in the UK
You will have the opportunity to work flexibly from home on a Monday and Friday but are required to be office based on the other days in Aberdeen.
