We are currently seeking a dedicated Crew Counsellor to join our team and provide confidential counseling services to our diverse crew community.
As a Crew Counsellor, you will play a vital role in promoting the mental health and overall wellness of our crew members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide confidential counseling services to crew members facing personal, emotional, or work-related concerns.
- Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and offer ongoing support and guidance.
- Facilitate support groups and workshops on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, and cultural adjustment.
- Collaborate with onboard medical staff, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure holistic care for crew members.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions in accordance with professional ethics and company policies.
- Stay informed about mental health resources and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of counseling services.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment by fostering open communication and mutual respect among crew members.
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience providing counseling services in the field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and awareness of the unique challenges faced by crew members working in a maritime environment.
- Valid C1/D Visa (or ability to obtain)
- Valid STCW
