Job Description

Due to company expansion, my client is looking for a Crew Compliance Administrator in their Southampton office.

All applicants must live within commutable distance of Southampton and have the Right to Live & Work in the UK. 
  
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior HR & Compliance Manager in the day-to-day aspects of crew employment
  • Monitoring of seafarer qualifications
  • Ensure crew and vessels meet MLC employment requirements
  • Provide administrative and compliance support with onboarding crew
  • Regular monitoring and updating of yacht certifications
  • Collect crew certificates and verify authenticity
  • Managing documents
  • Administrative support to the team in all areas of crew compliance relating to the employment and payroll of seafarers
Requirements:
  • Experience within the maritime sector, particularly the Superyacht industry
  • Knowledge of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006)
  • An excellent communicator at all levels and the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, Captains, Crew and Clients
  • High degree of attention, excellent administrative skills and capable of checking / recording information accurately
  • English speaking
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft packages including word, excel, SharePoint, etc
Desirable but not essential:
  • Ability to speak another language
  • Previous experience in crew employment
