Your Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
- Lead and execute the business strategy for Indonesia, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local market needs.
- Expand market presence by developing new business opportunities in classification, certification, regulatory compliance, and technical advisory services.
- Build strong partnerships with Indonesian shipowners, operators, shipyards, and offshore energy companies, positioning the company as the preferred classification society.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Indonesian maritime authorities, including the Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST), Ministry of Transportation, Pertamina, INSA, Pelindo, and classification bodies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international maritime regulations, staying ahead of evolving requirements from IMO, IACS, and other governing bodies.
- Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and maritime associations, strengthening its influence in Indonesia.
- Drive the growth of classification, certification, and inspection services, ensuring high-quality delivery across the Indonesian market.
- Oversee ship surveys, audits, and regulatory approvals, ensuring strict adherence to classification standards.
- Develop strategies to enhance digitalization, sustainability, and innovation in classification services for Indonesian clients.
- Lead and mentor a team of technical and commercial professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency across business development, customer engagement, and technical service execution.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth.
- Represent the company at Indonesian maritime and offshore events, enhancing brand credibility and visibility.
- Deliver presentations, training sessions, and technical seminars on classification, safety, and regulatory trends.
- Stay ahead of industry developments, advising clients on compliance, risk management, and technical innovations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related fields, with 10+ years of experience in classification, marine technical services, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong leadership and commercial acumen, with experience in business development, team management, and strategic planning.
- Established relationships with Indonesian maritime authorities, shipowners, offshore operators, and industry associations.
- In-depth understanding of IMO, IACS, and Indonesian maritime regulations, with the ability to drive compliance initiatives.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, is a big plus, with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage P&L, and drive operational efficiency.
- Experience working with classification societies, ship inspection, offshore energy projects, or regulatory bodies is highly desirable.
