About the Role
- Draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts (including sub-contracts)
- Participate in commercial and legal discussions with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Raise awareness of contractual risks with internal stakeholders
- Incorporate contract-flow down clauses from the client contract into the subcontract, in alignment with the Legal team
- Ensure proper procurement contract management, comprising negotiating the terms and conditions of contracts
- Promote the principles of good procurement and contract management practice throughout the company
- Responsible for preparation/review of all relevant contractual correspondence exchanged during project execution to and from the suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities.
- Monitor all contract deliverables and the contract performance as well as identify risks and opportunities. Support handling of supplier claims.
- Assumes overall responsibility for all contractual and commercial issues
- Law degree preferred though Business degree with strong contract management experience will be acceptable
- 3 - 5 years’ experience with contracts
- Experience in Maritime/ EPC/ Engineering companies is preferred. Project procurement experience (with EPC companies and/or offshore projects) is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience
- Understand inter-disciplinary relations and requirements
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to provide open and direct dialogue with stakeholders
- High level of integrity and ethics
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
