Are you a self-sufficient, driven individual with a knack for market research and a passion for sustainability? Faststream is recruiting for a Commercial Analyst for a well known international ship owner to help their chartering team identify new investment opportunities and shape the future of the shipping industry.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify new investment opportunities for the chartering team, with a focus on the maritime industry.
  • Provide insights and contribute to the Regional Strategy Office, aiding the development of new business strategies.
  • Monitor market conditions and adapt to changes with data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented research findings for the chartering team.
  • Analyse technology solutions, especially HBI and DRI carriage for steel decarbonisation, evaluating feasibility and market potential.
  • Assist in assessing potential investment partners, prioritising those aligned with the company’s decarbonisation goals.
  • Oversee divisional EU-ETS compliance in collaboration with the Tokyo office, ensuring emissions monitoring and regulatory adherence.
  • Develop long-term business prospects, contracts, and COAs that promote company interests.
  • Explore new business ventures using venture capital funds to develop innovative business lines.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, commercial meetings, and conferences, and travel to meet clients.
