Key Responsibilities and Outputs:
- Ensure Compliance: Uphold all local, state, and federal laws and liquor licensing regulations to create a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.
- Enhance Guest Satisfaction: Analyze sales data, including beers, cocktails, wines, and spirits, to tailor our offerings to meet the preferences of our diverse guests.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with our shoreside Food & Beverage Director to evolve beverage concepts, service styles, menu development, and incentive programs that keep our offerings fresh and enticing.
- Optimize Inventory: Review and maintain inventory control of requisitions for beverage replacements, consumables, beverage equipment, and supplies to ensure seamless operations.
- Build the Dream Team: Participate in the hiring process for beverage management and middle management personnel, ensuring we have the best talent on board.
- Drive Innovation: Contribute to ad hoc projects, such as charters, large group requests, and special events, to keep our offerings exciting and relevant.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry developments and innovations, using your insights to make creative recommendations and envision the future of our beverage offerings.
- Promote Responsible Service: Train our team members on responsible alcohol service, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
- Market Insights: Understand cruise market drivers and use your knowledge to create beverage products and manuals that resonate with our guests.
- Maximize Profitability: Monitor beverage revenue and costs, providing valuable feedback and suggesting actions to improve quality and profits.
- Guest Feedback: Analyze guest feedback and use it to drive improvements in our offerings and service quality.
- Global Perspective: Visit our vessels and private islands to review beverage product offerings and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
- Industry Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the cruise/hospitality industry, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Beverage Background: A strong background in the bar/beverage field, with experience in multi-unit operations.
- Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and influencing skills to challenge and support collaborators.
- Analytical Mindset: Analytical skills to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in common applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and adaptability to various operating systems and business programs.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
