As the Vessel Manager - LNG, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and technical aspects of the LNG fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the vessels, managing day-to-day operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to uphold the high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Vessel Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LNG fleet, ensuring compliance with international regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate and optimise vessel schedules, including port calls, bunkering, and cargo operations.
Technical Management:
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the vessels are maintained in optimal condition, addressing any technical issues promptly.
- Monitor and manage dry-dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime.
Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a strong safety culture among the crew and staff.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and proactively implement changes to maintain compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Liaise with charterers, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, within the LNG shipping industry.
- In-depth knowledge of LNG vessel operations, technical management, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry software and tools.
- Open and collaborative mindset with the motivation to be part of a team that prides itself on working in close collaboration with each other
