Our client, a leading ship management company is looking for a Vessel Manager with extensive experience in dry bulk vessels. Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious operation of assigned vessels, primarily dry bulk carriers, typically managing 3-5 vessels.
  • Ensure vessels comply with relevant rules, regulations, standards, and industry requirements.
  • Provide support on technical operations as needed.
  • Maintain technical statistics and attend to additional duties as required.
  • Analyze and respond to undesired events, participate in shipboard management systems reviews, and arrange management reviews to ensure implementation of decided actions.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Technical/maritime qualifications with seagoing experience up to Chief Engineer on dry bulk vessels.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical superintendent/ Vessel Manager
  • Good command of oral and written English. 
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop close relationships with shipboard staff, vessel owners, charterers, and internal/external support functions.
