As a Vessel Manager specializing in dual fuel engines, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of a fleet of vessels.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical Oversight:
- Manage and coordinate the technical aspects of vessels equipped with dual fuel engines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams to optimize vessel performance and reliability.
Operational Excellence:
- Monitor and analyse vessel performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Implement maintenance and repair programs to maximize vessel availability.
- Work closely with vessel crews to address technical challenges and provide guidance.
Dual Fuel Engine Expertise:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of dual fuel engine systems and their integration within maritime operations.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends related to dual fuel propulsion.
Safety and Compliance:
- Uphold and enhance safety protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure vessels adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
Budget Management:
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage budgets for vessel maintenance and repair activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Vessel Manager, with a focus on dual fuel engines.
- Extensive knowledge of dual fuel engine technology and associated systems.
- Strong understanding of maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
