What are the job scopes?
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious operation of assigned vessels.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, including ISM code, flag state, and industry requirements.
- Support ships in technical operations and audits.
- Conduct vessel visits and report findings.
- Monitor technical managers' performance and ship operations.
- Plan and prepare for ship takeovers and repairs.
- Maintain vessel documentation and certifications.
- Screen senior officers and conduct briefings.
- Analyze data on costs, PMS, and KPIs.
- Technical/Maritime qualifications with seagoing experience on bulk carriers as Chief Engineer, Second Engineer, or Master.
- Degree in naval architecture or marine engineering with relevant office experience handling dry bulk vessels.
- Good command of oral and written English.
- Computer proficiency.
- Environmental focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of PMS and SMS systems.
- Knowledge of Chinese is preferred to effectively communicate with Chinese counterparts.
