Company: Silverstream Technologies was founded in 2010 with the aim of optimising fuel efficiency in the Maritime sector using air lubrication technology. The Silverstream® System is a proven energy saving technology, delivering 5-10% net fuel and emissions savings and can be used on both retrofit and newbuild vessels. Air lubrication is a strategically important technology which addresses the immediate decarbonisation requirements and the operational efficiency challenges emanating from future energy transitions.
Location: London HQ, Marylebone or Chandlers Ford, Southampton Office.
Reporting to: Sales Director LNGC
The Technical Sales Manager will represent Silverstream Technologies in promoting its products and services to potential Customers. They will own the sales of Silverstream® System solutions for allocated customers, sales channels, and market segments. Core responsibilities include driving the sales process for allocated opportunities, including the review and qualification of leads and opportunities, bid strategy setting, review of customer enquiry documentation, performing business case evaluations, and customer negotiations.
Experience / Qualifications Required:
Experience in sales and proposal development activity related to equipment sales within the marine sector.
Have a strong customer focus, be personable and presentable and be able to work effectively with internal and external customers.
Good technical knowledge of marine equipment and systems and their application.
Able to provide technical and commercial presentations both internally and to potential customers.
Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions (preferred).
Experience with sales processes and CRM systems.
Be computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
Self-starter and able to work effectively remotely as well as in an office environment.
Can work effectively within a sales and multi-disciplinary team.
Have strong communication skills – both written and oral.
Have excellent organisational skills.
Degree in a relevant engineering subject.
Experience working in marine equipment sales.
Strong customer presentation skills.
Ability to develop creative solutions for marine equipment sales.
Experience working and communicating with marine industry customers and stakeholders.
Stakeholder management at multiple levels.
Demonstrable team player.
Knowledge of energy (particularly LNG) shipping industry preferred.
Experience of working with energy shipping companies preferred.
