The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime law and a proven track record of handling complex shipping-related cases. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of shipping matters, including ship finance, charterparties, cargo claims, and marine insurance.
- Manage and resolve shipping disputes through litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to shipping and maritime operations.
- Represent clients in both domestic and international forums.
- Collaborate with other solicitors and professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in shipping and maritime law.
- Strong understanding of international maritime conventions and regulations.
- Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with international clients and cross-border transactions is highly desirable.
