We are seeking passionate individuals to transform and shape the future with game-changing net-zero technology. This opportunity is for a skilled and experienced Nuclear Engineer, who will be responsible for the development, testing and validation of dynamic systems models.
The Role:
You will be part of their multidisciplinary product department, consisting of nuclear, mechanical and marine engineering teams that are developing and integrating advanced nuclear technology for marine applications.
They work closely with nuclear vendors, co-developing and integrating nuclear reactor technologies such as fast molten salt reactors and heat pipe microreactors.
Responsibilities-
- Development, testing and validation of dynamic systems models.
- Reenact transients for their integrated marine nuclear powerplants, encompassing the entire plant from the reactor to the generator.
- Make concept design decisions for nuclear and non-nuclear systems and help implement marine requirements in reactor designs.
- Present models and results, both internally and externally.
- Contribute to scientific publications, attending technical conferences and events.
- Master's level degree in Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in systems engineering.
- Solid knowledge of nuclear power plant systems engineering principles.
- Experienced with using a systems modelling workflow, from initial system requirements and assumptions, to a working model ready for V&V, data post processing and visualisation.
- Experienced with presenting results in technical reports and presentations.
- Preferred software and OS experience: Open Modelica, OpenMC, Python, GitHub, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, Linux.
