I am working with an independent offshore and marine engineering company offering hydrodynamics, mooring and subsea expertise and offshore solutions.
Candidates will be based in Southampton (UK) or Nice (France). Their clients range from wind farm developers and floating solar power start-ups to oil and gas global leaders. They are aiming to double activities by 2025, and are looking for new talents to join the team.
The Role-
This candidate will be responsible for executing the following tasks:
- Hydrodynamic assessment of floating structures (ships, FPSOs, floating wind turbine, offloading buoy etc.)
- Mooring, subsea umbilical riser and flowline design and analysis,
- Offshore transportation and installation analysis (T&I),
- Floating structure stability and station keeping assessment.
- Liaising with a team of draughtsmen to deliver requested documentation.
- Preparing work packages or equipment specifications such a model test specifications or mooring equipment specifications.
- Interacting with clients and potential customers by providing commercial and technical support to the Business Development team.
- Inspecting shipyards and workshops when necessary.
- Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture Ship Science or Offshore technology,
- 3+ years of professional experience,
- Proven relevant experience in the analysis of offshore floating structures,
- Working knowledge of relevant software such as Hydrostar, Ariane or OrcaFlex,
- Working knowledge of Python programming language,
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills,
- Fluent English (spoken and written). French would be an advantage but is not required.
